Metal-Refining Furnace Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Zinc Furnace Charger to join our production team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will manage and operate our zinc furnace, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the zinc furnace charging system to ensure efficient and safe loading of raw materials.
• Follow SOPs for accurate measurement and weighing of materials.
• Coordinate with operators to ensure a smooth production process.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and report malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while maintaining a clean work area.
• Assist quality control in periodic inspections and sampling.
• Support other production-related tasks as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required; experience preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in zinc furnace operations

Advantageous

• Previous experience in metal manufacturing: Preferred prior experience in a similar role within the metals industry.
