Job Description

We are seeking a Kiln Hand to join our dedicated team in producing high-quality ceramic products. As a Kiln Hand, your main responsibilities will include loading and unloading kilns, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring that products are fired to specifications. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate kilns following the production schedule.
  • Adjust kiln settings based on materials being fired.
  • Document all kiln firings including temperatures and timings.
  • Assist in troubleshooting any kiln-related issues.
  • Contribute to team meetings focused on production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the development of new firing techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Control team.
  • Build strong relationships with team members.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing environments
Experience
  • Previous kiln operation experience is a plus.
