Underground Mining Machine Operator

Job Description

As an Underground Mining Machine Operator, you will operate and maintain heavy machinery to extract mineral resources in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves collaborating with team members to ensure production targets are met while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-start checks on equipment before use.
• Assist in the training of new operators as required.
• Monitor the performance of mining equipment and report issues.
• Work closely with geologists and mine planners for effective resource extraction.
• Adhere to all environmental and sustainability practices.
• Support the supervisor in achieving daily production targets.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Underground Metalliferous Mining
• Heavy Vehicle Driver's License is mandatory

Experience

• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in underground mining operations
