Occupational Therapist / Rehabilitation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Crushing Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Perth. The successful candidate will operate machinery to crush, grind, or polish various materials, ensuring high production quality while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and capabilities regarding assistive technology.
• Develop innovative designs and prototypes for rehabilitation devices.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to implement the best care strategies.
• Evaluate and test new assistive devices and refine them based on user feedback.
• Facilitate workshops and training programs for clients to enhance their independence.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and device modifications.
• Engage in continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in rehabilitation engineering or related fields

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Python
• SolidWorks
• Arduino

• Interpersonal skills
• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• Registration with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in project management: Ability to oversee projects from conception to implementation.
• Familiarity with NDIS regulations and guidelines: Understanding of the operational framework of disability services in Australia.
