Job Description

As a Child, Family, and School Social Worker, you will play a critical role in assessing and meeting the needs of children and families. Your expertise will help guide interventions that promote healthy development and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assess children's strengths and needs through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Implement intervention strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive care.
  • Educate and support families in navigating services and resources.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in practice.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Facilitate group workshops for parents and caregivers.
  • Document all interactions and treatment outcomes accurately.
  • Develop community partnerships to enhance service delivery.
  • Advocate for systemic changes that benefit children and families.

Requirements

Education
  • Qualification in Early Childhood Education or Social Work preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with children who have complex needs is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of early intervention strategies
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner)
Soft Skills
  • Strong advocacy skills
  • Adaptability and resilience

  • Familiarity with community resources and services: Knowledge of relevant local services for children and families.
  • Training in trauma-informed care: Specialized training to support children and families facing trauma.
