Kitchen Steward

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a motivated Kitchen Steward to join our kitchen team. Your day-to-day tasks will include washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes and utensils while supporting the culinary team in basic food preparation tasks. Responsibilities

• Handle dishwashing and cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
• Keep all kitchen areas clean while complying with safety regulations.
• Assist with prepping ingredients under the instructions of chefs.
• Organize dish storage and ensure cleanliness at all times.
• Support chefs in maintaining an efficient kitchen by assisting with requests.
• Work with the team to maintain a productive and friendly work environment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss kitchen operations.
• Train new staff on best practices for cleanliness and safety.
• Report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Advantageous
