Job Description

Join us at Caring Health Services as a Mental Health Nurse. You will play a crucial role in the support and treatment of individuals with mental health issues. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients, providing emotional support, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients' mental health status to determine appropriate care.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
  • Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment strategy discussions.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Develop community resources and support systems for patients.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions and group activities to promote recovery.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to assess progress and modify care plans accordingly.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Postgraduate Degree in Psychology or Psychiatric Nursing is an asset
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in mental health nursing
