Job Description

We are seeking a Digital Librarian responsible for managing and curating a wide array of digital collections. The ideal candidate will develop and implement effective digital library systems, ensuring ease of access and use for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage digital library collections and ensure compliance with copyright laws.
• Evaluate and select digital resources to meet user needs.
• Develop instructional materials and training programs for library users.
• Conduct workshops to enhance community engagement with digital resources.
• Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot and optimize library systems.
• Monitor and analyze usage data to improve service delivery.
• Participate in library outreach efforts to increase visibility and usage.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent
• Relevant Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• Experience with digital library systems and software

• Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Web Development

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Information Professional (CIP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
