Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Medical Technologist, you will coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. You will work closely with ophthalmic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient preparation and maintain surgical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of surgical schedules, ensuring optimal patient flow.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and surgical efficiency.
• Handle patient inquiries related to surgical procedures and prepare surgical documentation.
• Monitor and maintain the availability of surgical instruments and required supplies.
• Support a culture of safety within the surgical team by adhering to protocols.
• Assist with the training and onboarding of new clinical staff members.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

• Experience in an ophthalmology department is essential
