Job Description

The Patient Reimbursement Agent is responsible for managing health insurance claims and reimbursements, ensuring patients receive the benefits they are entitled to. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to verify patients' insurance coverage, process claims accurately, and assist with any inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage insurance claims workflow from initiation to reimbursement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve claim issues effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions for new staff on claims procedures.
  • Provide guidance to patients regarding their coverage and benefits.
  • Prepare reports on claims processing metrics and outcomes.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in auditing and quality assurance processes for claims management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business related field
  • Professional certification in healthcare management or insurance administration preferred
Experience
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance providers
