Job Description
As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in improving client outcomes through therapeutic activities. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and promote well-being.
Responsibilities
Develop engaging recreational programs that align with clients' therapeutic goals.
Evaluate and adapt therapy interventions based on client feedback and progress.
Facilitate group sessions that promote social interaction and community building.
Create a safe and inclusive environment for all clients.
Research best practices in recreational therapy and implement innovative strategies.
Provide training and support to volunteers and interns.
Network with community organizations to enhance resources available to clients.
Conduct workshops and seminars to educate clients and families about therapy benefits.
Assist in managing the budget for therapy supplies and activities.
Document all therapy sessions accurately for compliance and review.
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field is an advantage
Experience
Experience working with diverse client populations and age groups is essential.
