Job Description

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-I/99), you will provide essential pre-hospital emergency medical care while transporting patients to medical facilities. Your role is pivotal in delivering advanced life support and ensuring the safety and stability of patients in critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medical oxygen and other medications as prescribed in emergencies.
• Assist in the training of new staff members on protocols and procedures.
• Conduct vehicle checks to ensure readiness for emergency response.
• Engage in community health education programs as needed.
• Report any incidents or irregularities in patient care to supervisory staff.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
• Current registration with AHPRA

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in emergency medical services.

Technical Skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Emergency Equipment Operation

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Emotional Resilience

Certifications

• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in remote or rural settings: Familiarity with emergency situations in less accessible locations.
