Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our digital infrastructure from cyber threats. You will work closely with our IT department to implement security measures and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response efforts and perform forensic analysis.
• Work with external partners to enhance our security measures.
• Assess security architecture and recommend improvements.
• Participate in risk assessments and audits.
• Advise on security vulnerabilities and remediation strategies.
• Compile and present security reports to management.
• Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends.
• Coordinate with law enforcement in case of major breaches.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Endpoint Protection
• Security Protocols

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Team Player

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud security solutions: Hands-on experience securing cloud environments.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies: Understanding of Agile or Scrum approaches can be beneficial.
