Beef Lugger

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Beef Lugger to manage the loading, unloading, and transportation of beef carcasses within our facility. This role requires physical strength, a keen eye for quality control, and effective teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport beef carcasses using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Ensure the accurate counting and tracking of beef carcasses throughout the processing stages.
• Inspect and identify any quality issues or defects in the beef carcasses.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in the optimisation of production processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Report any issues or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the handling equipment and facilities.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Valid forklift license is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a meat processing or related industry.
