Job Description

Join us as a Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), where you will assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals before, during, and after surgeries. Your role will involve maintaining a clean and safe operating environment and supporting patients through their surgical experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surgical instruments and assist in surgical procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during the surgery.
  • Clean and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Help with preoperative patient assessments and postoperative follow-ups.
  • Document all aspects of surgical procedures for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Attend regular training sessions to keep skills updated.
  • Engage in patient education and postoperative care instructions.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a positive team environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification as a Surgical Assistant
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related health field (preferred)
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in surgical assistance or similar roles
