Job Description

The Location and Measurement Technician is essential for our surveying team, responsible for accurately measuring and mapping physical features using advanced tools. This role demands detail-oriented candidates with technical expertise and proficiency in relevant software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field surveys to gather data on land features using GPS and Total Stations.
  • Prepare and update maps and databases using ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
  • Analyze and interpret survey data to create technical reports.
  • Maintain the equipment in good working order, conducting regular checks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices on job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their project needs.
  • Utilize UAV technology for aerial surveying where applicable.
  • Collaborate with engineers and environmental consultants as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or related field
Experience
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus
Technical Skills
  • 3D mapping and modeling software experience
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail

Advantageous

  • Experience in 3D mapping and modeling software: Knowledge of programs used for creating complex 3D landscapes.
