Job Description

XYZ Company is on the lookout for a talented Marine Equipment Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing marine equipment, including vessels and offshore structures. Your expertise in marine engineering principles and CAD software will be essential in delivering innovative solutions that meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of marine equipment projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage project timelines effectively.
• Utilize simulation software (e.g., ANSYS) for performance analysis and validation.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all project deliverables are met on time.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance design efficiency.
• Oversee the testing of prototypes to evaluate performance and safety.
• Train junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Manage documentation and ensure proper revisions and updates are maintained.
• Participate in project reviews and contribute to design optimization discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
• Master's degree in Marine Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in a related field

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with FEA and CFD: Hands-on experience in both Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics is highly desirable.
