Animal Caretaker

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Animal Caretaker to join our vibrant team at Paws & Claws Pet Care. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the daily care of dogs and cats, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Regularly feed and hydrate animals while adhering to specific dietary requirements.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all animal enclosures.
• Inspect animals for any health issues and communicate with veterinarians.
• Manage the administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
• Engage with animals through play and exercise, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
• Contribute to grooming activities, keeping animals clean and comfortable.
• Deliver outstanding service to clients and answer questions about animal care.
• Ensure the work area is tidy, following health and safety standards.
• Assist with scheduling and processing client reservations.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but experience with animals is preferred.
• Certification in Animal Care or related field is a plus.

Experience

• Prior experience working with animals is advantageous.
