Amusement and Recreation Attendant

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of rides and attractions.
• Support and encourage guests to participate in activities.
• Assist in training new staff on safety protocols and customer service.
• Prepare and monitor event staff schedules.
• Collect feedback from guests to improve services.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new recreational activities.
• Engage in promotional activities to enhance guest experiences.
• Assist with queue management and crowd control during busy periods.

Requirements

Education

• Completed Year 12 or equivalent
• Certificate III in Sports and Recreation would be an advantage

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in recreation or hospitality industry preferred

Technical Skills

• Experience with recreational equipment
• Safety Procedures Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in Child Safety: Preferred certification in child safety practices.
• Fluent in a second language: Ability to communicate in another language is an advantage.
