Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Psychiatric Aide, where you will play a critical role in supporting patients and mental health professionals. You will be involved in the administration of assessments and the implementation of treatment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support mental health professionals in patient assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Document all patient interactions and progress accurately.
  • Aid patients with daily living activities and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor their effects.
  • Engage in de-escalation strategies during stressful situations.
  • Participate in the formulation and evaluation of treatment goals.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Complete necessary training and stay updated on mental health best practices.
  • Assist in the management of patient files and electronic health records.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for patients.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant certifications in mental health support
Experience
  • Experience with specific patient populations is advantageous
