Job Description

We are on the lookout for vigilant Crossing Guards and Flaggers to assist in the management of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in Sydney. The ideal candidates will ensure safety at designated points by directing traffic and providing assistance to pedestrians, particularly around schools and busy public areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pedestrian crossings and ensure vehicles adhere to traffic signals.
• Utilise hand signals and communication devices to direct traffic.
• Attend safety workshops and refreshers for continuous learning.
• Engage with the community to foster trust and collaboration.
• Assist with special events and road closures as required.
• Provide feedback on traffic conditions and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all local laws and safety regulations.
• Work in all weather conditions and maintain alertness throughout shifts.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience with traffic management systems is a plus

Languages
