Job Description

As an Explosives Worker and Ordnance Handling Expert, you will be responsible for the safe preparation and execution of blasting operations on construction sites. You will work closely with the site manager to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a hazard identification and risk management plan.
• Report any incidents or malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
• Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with environmental teams to mitigate any impacts.
• Perform troubleshooting on faulty equipment to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in Explosives Management
• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the mining or construction sector.
