Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct-Entry Midwife to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to women and their families throughout all stages of childbirth, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate antenatal education workshops for expectant mothers.
  • Support families during labor with emotional and practical assistance.
  • Implement evidence-based practices in midwifery care.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff and student midwives.
  • Develop care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Organize and lead community health initiatives related to maternity care.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients and families.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems for efficient documentation.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement projects within the organization.

Requirements

Education
  • Master’s degree in Midwifery or related field preferred
Experience
  • Experience in providing culturally competent care is advantageous.
