Job Description

The Outpatient Clerk is integral to the smooth operation of the outpatient department, responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling appointments, and providing assistance to patients. Your role will facilitate seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers, making a significant impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming correspondence and manage communication with patients.
  • Ensure patient data accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist patients during their visits and provide necessary instructions.
  • Implement efficient scheduling practices to reduce wait times for patients.
  • Support administrative staff in organizing departmental events and activities.
  • Keep inventory of office supplies and assist in procurement as needed.
  • Train new administrative staff on office procedures and systems.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the patient experience.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Outpatient Manager promptly.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Business Administration
  • Certificate IV in Health Administration is advantageous.
Experience
  • Experience in a medical reception role is preferred.
