Job Description

As a Hearing Impaired Itinerant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with hearing impairments. You will collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and educational specialists to develop tailored learning plans and ensure students receive the best educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess individual student performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Develop resources for teachers and staff to support students with hearing impairments.
  • Provide in-service training and support to educational staff on effective teaching strategies.
  • Engage in community outreach and advocacy for hearing impaired education.
  • Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders involved in student education.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to discuss student strategies.
  • Utilise technology and assistive devices to support learning.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for resources and support networks.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment through demonstrated empathy and understanding.
  • Record and report on student progress to meet educational standards.

Advantageous
