Energy Auditor

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Energy Auditor to join our innovative team. You will conduct energy audits, develop energy-efficient designs, and work collaboratively with architects and engineers to ensure sustainable building practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy audits and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance building performance.
• Utilise modelling tools such as EnergyPlus and eQUEST for analysis.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders effectively.
• Keep abreast of changes in building codes, sustainability standards, and technologies.
• Assist in grant proposals and governmental energy programs.
• Support the development of sustainability policies within the organisation.
• Engage in public speaking to promote energy efficiency initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff members and interns in the field of energy auditing.
• Coordinate with project managers to integrate energy efficiency into project delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in energy auditing and consulting

Technical Skills

• HVAC System Knowledge
• Renewable Energy Systems

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Energy Management Systems (EMS): Knowledge of EMS will be beneficial in this role.
• Research Experience: Experience with applied research in building science is highly regarded.
