Job Description

As a Farmworker, you will be responsible for the care of farm animals, ensuring they are well-fed, healthy, and comfortable. This role involves hands-on work with livestock and a dedication to sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and wellbeing of farm animals through proper feeding and care.
• Assist in administrative tasks related to livestock management.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal facilities.
• Track and manage livestock health records accurately.
• Engage in breeding management and reproductive tasks.
• Support the Farm Manager in implementing sustainable practices.
• Operate necessary equipment and machinery for farm operations.
• Participate in training programs on animal husbandry best practices.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.
• Promote a culture of safety and respect for farm animals.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate II or III in Animal Studies, or equivalent experience in animal husbandry

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the animal husbandry industry.

• Animal handling skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in animal breeding and reproduction.: Hands-on experience in the breeding processes and care of newborn livestock.
