Recreational Therapy Technician

Job Description

As a Recreational Therapy Technician, you will develop, implement, and assess therapeutic programs designed to foster physical, emotional, and cognitive growth in clients. You will play a key role in enhancing their quality of life through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Craft and facilitate recreational programs that support client rehabilitation.
• Track and report on the success of therapy programs and client participation.
• Engage with family members to provide insights on client progress.
• Attend staff meetings to continuously improve therapy practices.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and ethical regulations in all activities.
• Seek out and maintain relationships with external therapy resource providers.
• Participate in community outreach efforts to promote therapeutic programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Additional certifications in recreational therapy are advantageous.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience working with individuals with disabilities

• First Aid and CPR certification
