Job Description

As a Clinical and Counseling Psychologist at our University Counseling Center, you'll provide essential mental health support and therapeutic interventions to students. The role encompasses conducting mental health assessments, delivering individual and group therapy, and collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals to promote holistic mental health strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver crisis intervention services and respond to mental health emergencies
  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments and utilize findings to guide treatment
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars on mental health topics
  • Coordinate care with external mental health services when necessary
  • Document all client interactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of counseling services
  • Research and implement evidence-based practices in therapy
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings to enhance service delivery
  • Foster relationships with students to promote an environment of trust and safety
  • Assist in developing and implementing student mental health initiatives

Requirements

Education
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Licensure as a psychologist in Australia is mandatory
