Metalsmith Helper

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Metalsmith Helper to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will assist in the production of high-quality metal products, supporting experienced metalsmiths in various tasks including cutting, shaping, and polishing metal materials.

Responsibilities

• Help with the fabrication process by assisting in various tasks.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all operations.
• Assist in the assembly and installation of metal products.
• Maintain inventory of metal supplies and equipment.
• Engage in ongoing training sessions to improve skills.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade is advantageous

Experience

• Preferably some experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Basic welding skills
• Ability to read technical drawings

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings: Understanding of technical specifications will be considered an advantage.
• Experience using hand tools: Familiarity with a variety of hand tools used in metal fabrication.
