Test Boring Crew Chief

Job Description

The Test Boring Crew Chief will be responsible for overseeing the boring crew and performing testing and analysis of soil, rock, and groundwater samples. This role requires leadership skills, technical knowledge in drilling operations, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of drilling technicians and operators.
• Perform routine inspections on drilling equipment to ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide testing feedback.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in drilling operations.
• Ensure environmental compliance during drilling processes.
• Monitor and record data from drilling activities for analysis.
• Conduct safety briefings and emergency response drills.
• Assist in developing project proposals and scopes of work.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Environmental Science or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years in drilling environments with supervisory experience preferred.
