Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Civil Engineer to join our talented team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be involved in various projects, from infrastructure to environmental assessments, and will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend upgrades or repairs.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress.
• Utilise CAD software for drafting and design work.
• Develop and manage risk management plans throughout project cycles.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure project standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tenders and contract documents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis
• Environmental Engineering

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Chartered Engineer (CEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering: Additional qualifications in specialised areas of civil engineering.
• Project experience in infrastructure development: Hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.
