Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to creating a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a nurturing environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Assist in the training and mentorship of education assistants and new staff members.
  • Implement technology and assistive tools to enhance learning for students with special needs.
  • Conduct assessments, using data to inform instructional practices and track student growth.
  • Actively engage in community outreach initiatives to promote understanding and support for special education.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Teaching certification in Special Education is required
Experience
  • Experience with therapeutic settings is a plus
