Responsibilities

• Present breaking news and updates accurately and clearly.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure segments are engaging.
• Assist in writing scripts and preparing bulletins.
• Engage with the audience through social media platforms.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest news in both local and national contexts.
• Assist in mentoring junior reporters and interns.
• Help develop community-focused news stories.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of on-camera experience in broadcast journalism

Technical Skills

• Video editing software proficiency
• Social media management

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong news judgment

Certifications

• Certified Broadcast Journalist (CBJ)
• News Writing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
