Sample Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Sample Supervisor to oversee the generation of test samples and ensure adherence to all laboratory protocols. The ideal candidate will have a significant background in a laboratory setting, along with strong leadership abilities for managing a skilled team of technicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the lab's daily operations and sample testing schedules.
• Train new staff on lab protocols and safety procedures.
• Perform quality assurance checks on test samples.
• Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure that all lab protocols are followed stringently.
• Prepare and present weekly performance metrics to management.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
• Assist in the recruitment and hiring of lab technicians.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• Higher degree in Chemistry or Biology is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in laboratory management with supervisory responsibilities.
