We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Tamworth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing risk and determining policy coverage levels. Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and establish pricing for new policies.
• Analyze data to identify trends and recommend changes to underwriting strategies.
• Assist in developing underwriting guidelines and training materials.
• Interpret complex data and present findings in a clear manner.
• Participate in underwriting audits and compliance reviews.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and industry partners.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, or a related discipline

Experience

• At least 4 years of underwriting experience

Technical Skills

• Excel Proficiency
• Insurance Software

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Customer Service

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Professional designations in underwriting: Possession of certifications such as CPCU or AAI is an advantage.
• Bilingual capabilities: Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish or Mandarin in addition to English.
