Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Researcher to join our team in Katherine. The successful candidate will engage in various fieldwork tasks, including data collection, participant interviews, and environmental monitoring. This role is vital in contributing to our understanding of local ecosystems and communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field research projects in diverse environments.
• Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
• Develop relationships with local communities to facilitate research efforts.
• Present research findings to stakeholders and community groups.
• Collaborate with academic and community partners for research initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community-focused research

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Indigenous research practices: Understanding and respecting local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in research.
