We are seeking a skilled Hydrogeologist to manage and monitor groundwater resources while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to develop sustainable solutions for environmental challenges.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct groundwater modelling and interpretation.
  • Train junior staff on best practices in hydrogeology.
  • Collaborate with environmental managers on site assessments.
  • Ensure project compliance with Australian environmental regulations.
  • Analyse historical groundwater data to inform management plans.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders regarding groundwater issues.
  • Prepare presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide input on policy development pertaining to groundwater management.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related field
  • Professional certification from a recognised industry association (e.g. Australian Institute of Geoscientists)
  • Hydrogeological modelling Extensive knowledge of groundwater modelling techniques.
  • Groundwater monitoring Experience in conducting comprehensive groundwater monitoring programs.
  • Data analysis Proficient in statistical analysis of water resource data.
  • Analytical thinking Strong capability to analyse complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Communication Effective in conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Team collaboration Skilled in fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.
  • Australian Institute of Geoscientists certification
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Project experience in environmental impact assessments: Hands-on involvement in environmental assessments related to groundwater resources.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience: Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and communications.
