Job Description

We are searching for a highly skilled Epidemiologist to join our public health team. As an expert in infectious diseases, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and researching various infectious diseases. Your role will also involve providing critical insights and recommendations to enhance healthcare practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into infectious disease outbreaks.
• Educate healthcare workers on best practices for infection control.
• Utilize statistical analysis software to interpret research data.
• Represent the organization in community health outreach programs.
• Identify trends in healthcare data to support public health interventions.
• Advise on policy development for disease prevention.
• Engage with patient families to provide education on disease management.
• Develop training materials related to infectious disease management.
• Assess and improve healthcare delivery systems for infectious disease patients.
• Facilitate workshops and seminars for professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent qualification
• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of clinical experience in infectious disease management and research

Certifications

• Member of the Infectious Diseases Society of Australia (IDSA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
