Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists during eye examinations and procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients, performing diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Support the eye care team by managing patient flow and records.
  • Prepare diagnostic equipment for examinations.
  • Assist in handling patient inquiries regarding treatment and after-care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health regulations.
  • Train new staff on best practices in patient management.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to enhance patient services.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Ophthalmic Science or equivalent
  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant is advantageous
Experience
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred
