Job Description

As an Agricultural Equipment Operator, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for the safe and efficient use of tractors and other agricultural machinery. Your expertise will support essential farming tasks including planting, nurturing, and harvesting crops. This role requires not just operating machinery but also performing routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities

• Ensure the effective operation of farm machinery.
• Conduct regular machinery maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Support harvesting efforts by operating relevant equipment.
• Maintain records of all operations and equipment use.
• Work cooperatively with farm staff and management.
• Assist with livestock feeding and care when necessary.
• Engage in ongoing training for new agricultural technologies.
• Implement safety measures to protect yourself and colleagues.
• Participate in farm planning and resource management.
• Provide input on improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Agricultural certification or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3+ years in agricultural roles with machinery operation

Technical Skills

• Equipment maintenance

Advantageous

• Experience with precision farming technologies: Familiarity with GPS and other advanced farming equipment.
• Forklift license: Certification for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
