Join our dynamic team as a Firesetter! You will conduct controlled burns to rejuvenate ecosystems and reduce the risk of wildfires. Ideal candidates will possess exceptional fire management skills and a comprehensive understanding of forest ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute controlled burns, ensuring ecological standards are met.
  • Utilize GIS software for assessing burn areas and planning operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and local communities to coordinate burning schedules.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with fire regulations.
  • Monitor post-burn recovery and wildlife impact, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain fire management equipment and tools.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in fire management or related roles
