Job Description

Join our team as a Shear Tender where you will supervise shearing activities, ensure equipment operational efficiency, and maintain the highest wool quality standards. You will provide training to junior staff and ensure a safe working environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Organise and schedule shearing operations to meet production targets.
• Liaise with suppliers and clients regarding wool quality and delivery.
• Supervise wool handling operations after shearing.
• Maintain accurate records of shearing activities and outcomes.
• Conduct regular safety checks of shearing equipment.
• Implement best practices for wool cleanliness and handling.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Shearing or equivalent
• Cattle Handling Certificate (desirable)

Experience

• Demonstrated ability in team management in agricultural settings.

Technical Skills

• Wool Classing
• Repair Skills

Certifications

• Driver's License
• First Aid Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
