Job Description

We are seeking skilled Floor Sanders and Finishers to elevate our flooring projects to the next level. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, sanding, and finishing hardwood floors to perfection. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship, we want you!

Responsibilities

• Carefully sand hardwood floors using belt and orbital sanders.
• Finish floors with the appropriate sealers and finishes for durability.
• Inspect and evaluate the quality of work done on floors.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients on-site.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Perform routine maintenance on sanding and finishing machinery.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in relevant flooring technology

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in floor sanding and finishing industry

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Wood Species
• Precision Craftsmanship

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Forklift License (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with wood species commonly used in Australia: Knowledge of various Australian timber species and their characteristics.
• Experience sanding and finishing stairs and decks: Skills applied in unique finishing techniques for stairs and outdoor wood surfaces.
