Job Description

We are searching for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will assess risks, evaluate insurance applications, and provide recommendations to ensure coverage meets our standards and clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate risk factors.
• Set premium rates in accordance with company standards and risk assessments.
• Engage in dialogue with brokers and stakeholders to develop tailored solutions.
• Identify trends in underwriting data to inform future strategies.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key clients.
• Monitor ongoing policy performance and assess the need for policy adjustments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Risk Management or Insurance are a plus

Experience

• At least 4 years in an underwriting position
