Construction Laborers (Caulker)

Job Description

We are on the lookout for skilled caulkers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for sealing joints and seams in various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings. Your role will ensure watertight structures and maintain building integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assess joint and seam conditions prior to application.
• Use hand and power tools to apply caulking materials professionally.
• Maintain detailed records of materials used and project progress.
• Assist in training new team members on best caulking practices.
• Participate in regular safety and procedural meetings.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Handle and store materials safely to prevent accidents.
• Perform quality checks to guarantee a high standard of work.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of a relevant trade apprenticeship or vocational training program
• Certification in caulking and sealant application preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles

Technical Skills

• Physical fitness
• Good hand-eye coordination

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Certifications

• Current first aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with other tradespeople: Previous collaborative experience in trades will be an asset.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints: Ability to effectively communicate with project managers will aid in smoother operations.
