Job Description

The Commercial Roofing Estimator will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and timely estimates for various commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will know roofing materials and techniques well, ensuring all project aspects are meticulously considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed take-offs for all materials needed for roofing projects.
• Work with the sales team to ensure client satisfaction with estimates.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines closely.
• Utilize estimating software to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Participate in client meetings to clarify project requirements.
• Compile and analyze data to improve future estimating processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or construction management

Technical Skills

• CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp)
• Project management software (e.g., Procore, Trello)

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal skills
• Time management skills

Certifications

• PMP Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project management experience: Experience in managing roofing projects from inception to completion.
• BIM software experience: Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for project planning.
