Job Description

As an Operating Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain heater planer machines crucial for shaping and smoothing wood products. Your role ensures that all products meet high-quality standards necessary for our premium timber products.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful operation of heater planer equipment during production runs.
  • Conduct quality control checks and adjust operations to meet quality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Production Manager and Maintenance team.
  • Participate in health and safety audits and implement corrective measures.
  • Assist in optimizing processes for increased efficiency.
  • Contribute to team meetings to share insights and improvements.
  • Work closely with team members to foster a supportive environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Wood Processing
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience operating heater planer machines or similar equipment

Languages
