Join our team as a Hoist and Winch Operator! You will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery while managing log extraction processes safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Safely operate hoists and winches in forested areas.
Supervise loading and unloading processes to maximise safety.
Work closely with ground crew to ensure coordinated operations.
Participate in safety drills and training sessions regularly.
Keep machinery and tools in good working condition.
Record daily operational data and report to the Forestry Manager.
Support the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
Lead by example in adhering to safety practices and standards.
Requirements
Education
Cert IV in Heavy Machinery Operations
Certificate in Forest Operations preferred
Experience
5+ years of experience operating hoists and winches.
