Metal-Refining Furnace Operator

Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to dispose of hazardous waste materials. Your strong background in chemical and mechanical engineering will be essential as you ensure safety and efficiency in our processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of the residue furnace and related machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Document operational activities and maintain logs accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues promptly.
• Assist with compliance checks to meet environmental standards.
• Collaborate with the operations team for process improvements.
• Participate in safety briefings and emergency drills.
• Provide training to new operators on safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in chemical or mechanical engineering preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience operating industrial equipment in a production environment.
